Out of respect for
cyberjunkie,
brace347 and
littlebeelex, I won't write this too loud: I was offered, and accepted, the Middle School Math position at Honeoye today. All things considered, it's a good move, I think: Very good school (much better than Snorwich, I think), good benefits, small class sizes, seems to be a good environment for both students and teachers, money's about the same as Snorwich for this year, but will be more in successive years, further from Ra-cha-cha than what I would have preferred, and two weeks ago, I would never have even considered teaching 7th and 8th graders, but, hey, it'll be a learning experience for me, as well.
Now the fun really begins: the trip to Snorwich to get my stuff, turn in my keys and say my goodbyes; the search for a new apartment; packing up my old apartment; and, The Move (my fourth in the past five years, ugh!)
Thanks to all for posting words of support, I appreciate it, and may be seeking solace if/when the kids drive me nutty.
