this weekend...

This weekend was a whole lot of fun. The retreat was good, eventhough there wasn't a whole lot of people there and the videos were kind of a let down. But the worship was good and so was the fellowship. The prayer on Saturday was awesome. We started praying for Holly and ended up praying for everyone in the circle:Brian, Derek, Alainna, Kimberly, and me. It was so great and exactly what God used to put me back into place, on my knees with Him. I really enjoyed the fellowship also. Our cook for the weekend, Thomas or tom, was hilarious. He was so nice and had that sarcastic humor that goes well with the Gappers. He would sit with us during our down time and hang out and then eat with us as well. I think he really liked us, eventhough he said he might be back for our spring retreat, i think he will definately be there, mwahaha! once you're in our group, there's no gettin out!

Derek and tom were going back and forth with the silly jokes at one point, it was great. It took tom 20 minutes or something to make one joke and the moral of the story was three out of four guys prefer cheerios over frosted flakes...i couldn't believe it, i knew there was something to it when it started to keep on going and going. I do wish i could have sang...my voice was bad and i was coughing, so at a few points i didn't have a voice. I had to whisper when i was praying for Derek, hehe. But then on sunday pastor carla said something about God speaking through those who allow Him to, and things shifting even through a whisper, and alainna looked at me and we laughed. I think that gave me great hope and even more faith in the words that God had given me.

Yesterday was so awesome! I really missed going to home group and the fellowship, and the prayer! God moves so wonderfully when we are obedient to Him and listen to His Spirit. I got fed and am so empowered now...I am blessed and highly favored and plan on speaking in confidence when God gives me a voice. The sermon from the morning was carried into the evening i think. I really loved the words God gave Pastor Carla. She spoke of how God wants His bride, the church, to allow His voice to go throughout the earth...it's time for the bride to ready herself for the bride groom, and for the people of God to take a stand, speak out like Esther, and have history record that we were here, that God's church was here and we were loud! God will not force Himself onto anyone, He willnot be heard if we silence Him through our actions, and non-actions. There was an alter call at the end of the service, as a way for people to go before God and say they want the old garbage to go away, and for the bride to ready her self for the bride groom, to be a part of the church and the voice of God.(i encourage the reading of Rev. 2 and 3, Matthew 25, and Esther for a few good references about the bride and the bridegroom and the voice of God)

I really hope we get more people to come to the semi-formal. I also really hope that kori and bill come, cause i miss my kori ori ori ori...hehe, It's December 10, so any of my friends interested in good food and dancing, let me know:)the tickets are $15, which isn't too bad if you ask me, and you get to hang out with some pretty sweet people!:)

Ok, I guess I will nap or something...or watch gilmore girls, ya know, important things(like look for spark notes for war and peace:)), hehe...God bless ya'all!
