This is an interesting reflection and exploration of Americans' ideas about social class. I've really only checked out the
Games section. There are 3 games, but the first one, "Chintz or Shag?", might be the most interesting. You get to decorate a room and the game tells you what class your decorating taste reflects. The 5 class categories they use are as follows: Old Money, Nouveau Riche, Middle Middle, Working Class, and Trailer Park.
As it turns out, my taste runs to the middle class, with touches of nouveau riche, working class, and trailer park. Surprise, surprise. I'm stable now (if still on the poor side), with poverty in my past and upwardly mobile future.
The game is a bit simplistic, ultimately, in its insistence upon the division of these categories, and can be somewhat insulting in its mockery of the lower classes in particular by the animated characters that provide commentary as you choose, but it's interesting.
