I'm really excited because I just learned that not only will my photo be published but I'll actually get paid for it!
This is a new experience for me and a nice validation of my ability as a photographer and as a fashionable person.
It's especially welcome just now because the more I look at the fantastic photography produced by other people, the more likely I am to feel outclassed. Even on the days when I feel outdone by these other very talented and skilled photographers, I had no intention of giving up on becoming a better photographer, but this small thing gives me even more incentive to keep working and faith that maybe I am a pretty good photographer after all.
