Someone really needs to smack me upside the head...

My sleep schedule is completely wacked. I've been doing things like waking up at 5am one day without being able to go back to sleep, and then waking up at 3pm the next day and going "WTF? What happened to my day?" (Today was one of those days, unfortunately). My theory is that I'm staving off illness, because I started to feel like I was coming down with something on Friday, but nothing has surfaced as of yet. I'm willing to sacrifice half of my day for that.

The thing that's been weighing on my mind since I've turned in my exams is that I've now got this five month block of unstructured time that I'm supposedly meant to use to do this pesky thing called a thesis. *rolls eyes* Seeing as how I've never done anything of the sort before, I'm a bit intimidated. Although I really can't understand how anyone could ever do a DPhil, because if I had to sit around and only do research for THREE YEARS I can say I would go absolutely nuts. I feel unsettled already and it's only been two days since my foray into Thesis Land. Okay, so I haven't really started yet, so it's more like zero days, but WHATEVER. You get my point.

In other mildly interesting news, I am starting my new health kick thingy today. Instead of ordering fried noodles like I usually do at the Noodle Bar (but they're oh so tasty!) I got Monks Vegetables with rice. And it was surprisingly good! They don't serve enough vegetables in college (or if they do, it's almost always some form of potatoes, or cauliflower...I can only take so much starch, really). Plus I'd always been curious as to what vegetables were in Monks Vegetables, and now I know. (Broccoli, onions, mushrooms, bamboo, carrots, snow peas, water chestnuts and baby corn, for anyone who cares). I was toying with the idea of going to the gym today, but I might wimp out and just hole up in the practice rooms for a while instead.

Ahh, it's getting dark already! Time to attempt to be productive before the day runs out.

EDIT: Can anyone recommend a good book to read? I've got a Borders about 5 minutes away from me, but I never know what to get when I'm in there.
