Good weekend, please don't end!
This weekend I:
Babysat my niece and nephew. Elizabeth fell asleep in my arms for the second time. It's so precious to be able to hold her when she's seeking comfort rather than screaming :)
Finished my week-long project of repainting my kitchen and half of my living room. This took me literally all day yesterday to finish, and I was up until 2 a.m. working on the final coat. My kitchen is now a terra cotta orange sponged over cream-colored paint. I wish I had a camera to post pictures, but I will soon!
Hung out with my good friends Katherine and Sunand, and finally transported Katherine's kitchen table to her new apartment. Then I went back to Sunand's house to visit with his family (his children are the twins I used to babysit), as I hadn't seen them for a month or so.
Applied for two jobs at IUPUI. I also have a few other job leads that I hope to follow up on this week. I did start a new job on Friday (after training all day Thursday), but I'm somewhat desperate to find something else. In order to avoid a rant, I'll just say that the job description was pretty inaccurate, and the working environment is unprofessional and frustrating in a number of ways. This experience has not improved my opinion of temp agencies, but it has definitely given me a new perspective on why people hate Mondays...
