The Da Vinci Code
You know I get sooooo sick and tired of hearing about people bashing the book and the movie. I haven't seen the movie yet but I have read the book and the prequel to it being Angels & Demons. I see that there are people out there who are close minded on the facts that are brought up in both the movie and the book and that is sad. Some people don't even want to try and educate themselves on the possibilites out there. I have been educating myself about religion for a long time now and I think I can say that I am pretty educated on the topic. Someone from a Johnny Depp group brought up something that just pissed me off and it was something along the lines of Johnny was one of the possibilities of being the character Robert Langdon. Now when you bring the topic of The Da Vinci Code you better be prepared for the back lash that comes along with it. I for one don't like ignorance in fact I hate ignorance and close minded people. If this offends anyone well its my journal and I write what the fuck I want and you don't have to read this. But anyway, I have my own beliefs about religion and I am a spiritual person not religious or christian or wiccan or anything in particular just spiritual. I just can't wrap my mind around the thought of the bible and how it was written. Remember this was written by man for man not for woman. The bible contains a lot of contradictions and is only for men. Women in the bible are seen as a whore or a virgin. No sexuality!!! Men in the bible had many wives and whores but it was ok, they were forgiven. Women have been crucified for milleniums for their sexuality and I don't think that was a fair thing for them. I wish people would actually read before worshipping someone they have no idea who they really are. What I am saying would make perfect sense if you read The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagel. She was brilliant in bringing this out into the open. Unfortunately some people don't want to believe what she says because they are afraid of the damnation that God would put on them. Remember God is a jealous god and if he is then who are the other ones???? See will bother asking this question cause they think oh it comes from the bible so I should believe it. NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!! If God is a jealous god well there have to be more out there like his mother Sophia or Wisdom. God came from somewhere and it is brought up in the book I mentioned before. You just have to investigate and be curious and want to obtain knowledge and I can't stress that more and more. I know those of you who read this might think I am crazy but you aren't the first and that is ok cause it doesn't matter here. This is my journal and I write what I feel is on my mind and should get out. Now I feel much better now that I got that out of my system. Thanks to those who stuck around and read the whole thing...
