This year NYE was really nice. We had a party here, and everyone knows I love having people over and cooking and all of that, so it was good -- we had a ton of food (Of course) so much so we sent a bunch of leftovers off today and still have enough food for the rest of the week I bet. It was good to spend the evening with good friends and good times.
Chocolate fondue was a huge hit. My dining room table was covered with all kinds of foods to dip in chocolate - Strawberries -- good. Bannana's - good, brownies - very good - angel food cake - Good - but needed a spoon rescue - Bananna peppers (Eww Alli!) Tomatoes, carrots, brocolie and caulaflower (Totally Gross, JIM!!!!) choclate glazed Kispy Kreme donuts - Call 911 I need an insulin shot!
As much as making resolutions, I think NYE is also a time for reflecting on last year's resolutions. I had two last year
(Copied and pasted from last January's entry)
goals for the new year
1) To be published (somewhere/anywhere)
2) to be healthy enough I don't have to take my blood pressure and related meds.
Addressing 2 first. I made huge leaps and bounds progress toward that, but then backslid in the last couple months. So I do have "tidying this one up" on my list for this year. Back to eating right, back to exercising so I can tidy this up -- hopefully by June.
Being published; I can check off, I had (what I call) some success with this through blogcritics. I've also made major steps toward getting the novel published. It's done, editied and re-edited, getting out there, getting positive feedback. updates on that can always be found here.
Have a happy and healthy one everyone!!!
