W00t!

Ah I needed that.
I got home from work at 12:15 at night, Was planning on heading to bed within the next 20 minutes, but first, and most importantly, I must check my email.
Oh my geocaching Folder has a new message.
A new cache in my area. Bah, it's 12 at night it's probably been found by now...
No posts yet eh?
Hmmm
Oh come on, it's only 3.6K away.
At 12 at night,
Through the woods,
on foot.
...
And I really Should be heading to bed.
...
I bring it up on my iPhone, apparently it was hidden back on Dec 28th 2009.
It was posted last Decade!
no way, no one has found it by now.
Email is old,
the cache is old,
totally a waste of my time to go even try.
*nods*

Where did I stick that GPSr?

Into the darkness I headed out, with Orion high in the sky to lead me, I headed into the bowels of the Park.
Bears sleep during the winter right?

After much wandering, too and fro, (this is not the area of the park I usually go, I usually cache more East of here.)
across bridges and through trees, Listening to the Podcacher Podcast as I go.
I pass by a parking lot with a lone car parked and giving me odd feelings of
"C'mon no one else is crazy enough to be out here this bloody late looking for this thing are they?"

Undaunted I press on
Until suddenly I arrive at! A Fence!
o.O;
what the heck is that doing here, I bring up my GPSr. it's only 80 metres a head of me. Is it in here?
I start to walk the edges, closer, closer, A corner!
Ah ha!
Ground Zero is achieved!
Now the search begins.
Clever little Tricksies....

The time has arrived, 1:30 in the morning, way, WAY past my bedtime, was it worth it?

...
..
.
Blank Log! Boo YAA!
my second FTF!
ah, glory
out comes the pen!
and...
It won't work,
apperently negative degree tempratures do not agree with it.
That's okay, I brough a Spare!
...
which also doesn't work.
...
o.O;
Well crap, now what?
I grab my notebook out of my backpocket and bring drawing desperate circles with both pens.
I stick them in my mouth, and try to suck the dang ink out.
All this way, and no ink.
...
Note to self, start packing pencils!
More circles, and faint lines begin to appear.
Quick sign before it's too late.
...
I think it's readeble. :P It was kind of hard to tell in that light,
But there should be a notable smudge with my name on it on top of the log. :D
...
now the far less exciting trip back home.
A 10.45K hike in 1.47Hours at an average of 6.9K/h.
A FTF, Priceless.

Now it's time for bed, unless another email comes up....
*checks*
Dang.
