Hell hath frozen over - and I have updated the LJ...

As has become painfully obvious, I am terrible about updating. Since the new semester started, there have been more fencing meets and I have been trying to be more attentive to homework, which was working well until this week. I have fallen behind quite a bit from the Duke trip. We missed two days of classes, and then, when we got back, most of us were too tired to do much in the way of productivity. I feel like such a slacker, but we've had fencing meets twice a week for the past month or so. It's rediculous. I'd like to sleep for three days.

On the bright side, I got to see my beloved Annie (I'm beginning to sound like Kristen) at Duke. When I walked into the fencing venue, I saw her sitting keeping score for my men's foil team. She recently dyed her hair strawberry-blonde, and it looks wonderful. That night, I visited her dorm and we went to Duke's more upscale JavaCity. It was great to see her. I stayed out nice and late (for a fencing night), and her roommate nicely gave me a ride back to the Millennium Hotel. Despite being over-tired, the women's sabre squad still came in first place and won a beautiful trophy. Personally, I lost my first bout of the day. It was to Johns Hopkins and I should have won. I won the other two, but then I lost to all of UNC because I was being stupid. I beat two MIT, one of them being DelCastillo, who is very nice, but who I've never beaten. I lost to their leftie, because all I kept thinking was "Don't hit the bellguard," so that's exactly what I did. I lost my first bout to Temple, but won my other two. I beat two Duke girls, and lost to Muhammad (naturally).

This weekend, I'm going to NYC and staying with Kristen at Rutgers. It should be fun. It'll be like an old home week (or however that expression goes - personally, it sounds to me like it's referring to an assisted living facility... Anyway...). I can't wait to see Kristen and meet her awesome-sounding roommate.

I get back on Sunday, return Home Monday afternoon, and then return to Brandeis Thursday afternoon, to begin fencing practice again. I was hoping to go to PFC practice on Tuesday, but LaSalle has vacation, too, and I guess they don't feel like doing vacation practices.

Anyway, if you're in NY and want to go to a Hookah bar tonight around 10:15 or so, call my cell.

Also, if you're from RI and want to get together (or maybe even fence somewhere - Marco?) Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, call me.
