Research trip! I dunno, I just assumed they have gelato everywhere in Italy.

I feel really dumb now because I have actually *been* to the Apennines - don't ask me why I forgot, I have no excuse, except that I was sick at the time and spent two days letting an Italian grandmother (my grandmother's cousin, actually) feed me delicious food, and doing nothing else - and we totally ate gelato every afternoon. It's, like, what they do. In the tiny mountain villages full of old people. Take an afternoon nap, followed by evening walk to get gelato. Every day. Clearly a fast-paced life is a high priority! EXCEPT NOT.

(For the purposes of your story: Arthur would totally hate it. Nobody does anything on time or with any sense of urgency or punctuality.)

You are very well traveled! It only makes sense that a couple of days would go missing here and there. Anyway, anyway, that sounds amazing and I will work afternoon gelato in like it's my job. Unless I just fuck off to Italy instead. :(

My sister is in Italy right now and every update I get from her makes me seethe with jealousy. Fucking off to Italy sounds like a FINE weekend plan.
