Work out on bike #1

WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING???

So i decided i'd take'r out for a spin, see what she could do and possibly how fast could i slam myself in to something. I had an hour to kill. Sure, no problem, it's going to be great, take a nice little bicycle ride, come home, change, go out and eventually at midnight watch Phantasm 2 (a horror movie) awesome.

NO. Not so awesome. At one point i almost asked this sweet old man watering his lawn with a hose if i could just have a drink for a second. So i started to head home. Breath through nose not mouth. How the hell do these gears work, oh, ah i get it. Cross the big intersection, coast home... wee ride through the grass a little. Time? 10 mins. No seriously.

I knew i was out of shape. Badly out of shape but come on. At least it was a start. I'm going to try and cordinate walking and running. I need to smoke less. I can't imagine if i smoke cigarettes, i think this would have been 10x's worse.

I really need to focus on my diet again. I need to be back on a mostly vegetarian diet. I forget all the does and don'ts (i was a sorta pescatarian for 5 years, i like eggs, cheese, milk and turkey on thanksgiving other than that pretty clean cut). I wish i had a dietician. I'm good at following structure, i just need to figure all that structure out again. High protein, good iron, low fat, low carb (this is more for the hypoglycemic part), delicious, hell i don't know! I dont' even know where to start again.

I'm not worried about losing weight as much as I am concerned with getting in shape and feeling good about myself. Hopefully i can do it and stick to it.
