my break thus far because it was really interesting:
week one
-nothing
week two
-wake up at 4am
-fly through monsoon while everyone around me revisits their breakfast
-live the same day eight times
9am: wake up
9:15am: pool
2pm: shop
5pm: eat dinner
8pm: bedtime
-arrive home at 2am
-watch Saw
what i have learned this break: don't watch Saw. especially for the second time, when you can really understand the motive and as a result, force you to fear for your life. and not allow you to sleep. because you never know the state in which you will wake up. the moral of this story should be to value your life. but my conclusion is: build a panic room. up until very recently, i had no idea what a panic room was or that they are semi-commonplace. every time i watched a horror/suspense flick, i would wonder "why doesn't this girl run not up the stairs but to the police station, where she can be confined in the safe oasis we call a prison cell?" so maybe she can't get to the police station, that is understandable. so why not have this oasis in your very own home? maybe this is the answer to my prayers. however, what if the killer is aware of this panic room? doesn't that defeat the entire purpose or at least make it much more difficult to use? well i have never seen the movie and that would probably be helpful in thinking this out. but my proposal is to build a secret panic room directly off the the regular panic room. or have several spread throughout the house. or live somewhere completely isolated with huge attack dogs. or not?
