the philosophy proff. is generally, my kind of crazy. she has a HIGH amount of internalized oppression (read: self hate, she is WHITE, after all...) going on, but all in all...she's a chatter box, late 70's feminist (as a opposed to Suzanne's First Wave@UCIRVINE "we created the women's studies dept., that's how old I am..." level of Feminism)...likes the Dead Kennedys, so yeah...I'm sure that I'll be Just Fine...but I do sense that if you Don't Fall in line...she will till you into the field.
she had a very interesting reaction to my group's comment about Religion being the creatrix for most people's moral barometers...and how that is generally a bad thing, when it comes to politics.
i sensed a level of agreement, but she had to give the required "religion is not a bad thing" speech...
huh...riiiiight. We are going to talk about Marx in this class, too. sure, Lady. whatever you say.

i really REALLY see why my prf. for WoC thought I'd love her---she talks a mile a minute, and buzzes around the room, like a hummingbird. frankly, i see myself, and that's not So Scary. people would say VERY similar things about me, i'm sure, if i taught this class, and had her background. she reminds me of my friend, Dawn, too...wonder if she's a Cap?
lol...she's also on the school board for Pacifica. Awesome.
ugh...i don't want to go to work...lol...oh well. it's easy peasy, at least.
