31 Days and counting
It's now April 2nd. That means 4 weeks, 3 days, 2 research papers, 5 CIS assignments, and multiple exams until I'm done with SC4. That is going to be so nice. No more Anthropology presentations, Sociology essays, CIS projects or Astronomy. The crap that I have to do before then is kind of shitty though.
So it has been an extremely long time since I last posted in here. I feel bad. I've neglected livejournal. It's a real shame too. Livejournal is so much better than myspace. Mostly because it isn't a popularity contest and you don't have to deal with stupid people.
Anyways....
My weeks have pretty much consisted of the usual: Work, SC4, occasional trip to canada. Last week we went to the Point Edward Casino. It was a nice place. I lost 5 bucks on the slot machines. Overall though, it was a fun trip.
Work has been pretty insane. We were really busy the last couple of weeks, which meant more hours for me. Yay. Hours are nice. They make for a mediocre paycheck, as opposed to the horribly small check I usually get. This week I'm down to 9 again though, and 7 the next week. Want Ad's here I come!!!
Best Buy on Thursday announced their earnings. In FY 2006 they posted their first ever $1 billion dollar bottom line. A huge victory for the company. Later in the news release, they announced $350 million in job cuts. Never a dull moment.
Friday I went to Grand Valley for orientation and transfer advising. It was pretty cool. Like a third of the people in orientation were from SC4. I got to register for classes for the fall. That was interesting. I must say though, incorporating fridays back into the school week is going to totally suck. GV is a really nice school though, I'm looking forward to going there in the fall.
Friday night was a bowling adventure. It was fun for the most part, but I must say: I hate people. I fucking hate people. Especially drunk people who come sit at my table witha cigarrette. Seriously. I don't care if you smoke, just don't come around me while you're doing it. I don't care if you drink, but if you're drunk and don't know me, please don't talk to me. And please don't hit on my best friends girlfriend, that's my job, and it's just going to make me hate you even more and tempt me to kick your ass. Seriously. I hate people. I fucking hate people.
So it's a good thing that I work customer service!!!
Last night was the SC4 band concert. My last one with SC4. Can't say I'm too dissappointed. The fucking thing went for 2 and a half hours. It started at 7:30, ended at 10. ridiculous.
Today I had a meeting at best buy. 3 key takeaways: Daylight savings time sucks, 6 A.M. is too early to be up on a sunday, and the company is ... ok better not say that one.
Waking up seriously sucks. It's 12:15 right now. I should still be sleeping, but I have been up for 6 hours now. Ick.
I've decided that I've been drinking too much pop lately. So I'm trying to cut back. So far so good, I had 2 cans of mountain dew yesterday, that was it. Today and tomorrow are going to be harder to do that though. I've only had one today so I'm off to a good start. I spent more money on mountain dew than on gas last week. So I think im going to cut back. way, way back.
