Bush is an idiot.
It amazes me how you can speak to reform education but not be able to speak a sentence in competent english. Nuculor is not a word. Competentent is not a word, Mr. Bush. About 95% of George Bush's state of the Union address was absolute bullshit. Suddenly, this president who was committed to oil, is now committed to alternative energy. But I won't go into that one, because I would fill all the space on Livejournal's server describing why he's an idiot for saying what he said about energy.
There was one point of his state of the union address that made his speech worth watching though. For those of you who don't know much about the federal government, Congress is about 58% Republican. That means that republicans have a majority, and don't need democrat support to pass legislation.
Well, when speaking about social security Mr. Bush stated "Last year Congress refused to pass my social security reform bill." The democrats in congress gave the president a standing ovation.
I don't care who you are, that was funny.
Some people may not get that last part. Please if you don't, ask me about it. I'll be glad to elaborate on why it was am important part of Bush's speech.
Logic would suggest when giving a speech to congress, not to slam congress. Yet another reason bush is an idiot.
Tim Kaine is giving the democratic response. He makes a lot more sense than Bush.
