Thanks so much for spending so much time organising this. I know exactly how much time it can take, and you did a wonderful job. So thank you for both getting these awards going, and running them for the last two years.

Thank you! It was a lot of hard work, but usually worth it in the end.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you warn for het content? It seems like you make a point of warning for slash and femslash, but not het.

I was kind of wondering if anyone was going to ask about that. It's mostly because of all of the people to complain/get upset when not warned before clicking, non-slash/non-femslash readers tend to make the most noise when they accidentally stumble onto something they don't want to read (not to say that all non-slash readers do this, but in my experience, if someone complains, it's a non-slash reader and not a non-het reader). There are enough other points of drama in organizing this event that I didn't want to potentially face any more ( ... )

If people insist on warnings (I personally don't think you have to warn for slash or het in your winner's list, especially since the fic itself will have headers) then may I suggest simply listing the pairing, if there is a pairing? That way there's no judgment being made by warning for teh gay! slash but not for het--everything is simply labelled by pairing. :)

Yeah, unfortunately this is true. It's not fair or right, but it's true.

Giving the pairings is a good suggestion. I'll put that on the list for next year's team.
