I'm glad they have car share stuff! Groceries ARE a pain in the ass! Or any other large purchases. (When I first moved to Seattle, I bought a mini-stereo, and had to haul it around on two bus lines, to get it home. hehe) Plus, I HAVE to get out of the city, because the city drives me NUTS....I have to get into nature. Maybe Amtrak plus a bike could take care of that?? :-) I also love to bike, and even the hills are fine (I'll need to buy a different bike, though). SF has a large, friendly (so I hear) biking community, so I'm sure I can figure that all out....
I just realized that I currently have three different acquaintances in the Bay Area, so my attempting to land there might not be as rough as I imagine
From my initial research, I figured the Mission District is where I'd end up :-) assuming nothing changes in the time intervening.
