Had a hell of a time getting a product ready for customers on Friday (...today). We had some changes to the design put in on Wednesday, and that actually went pretty well, but since then we have been finalizing and QA testing it and a lot of issues came up that had to be resolved. Hopefully future projects will be planned a bit better so we aren't scrambling around at the last minute like this, although it's been our MOS for a long time.
I'm pretty happy with my new position, although I've been absolutely consumed with work these past couple of weeks. Before, I thought that I had a lot of work to do, but really that was just a matter of the work expanding to fill the time available. Now I am actually busy from early in the morning until well into the evening. And there is always a lot left to do when I finally go to bed. I think things will be more comfortable with time though.
