For some reason I couldn't sleep on Sunday night. Probably because I slept through all of Sunday day. Anyway, I was pretty tired on Monday but I toughed it out because I had a lot of stuff to do. I started the day writing email to a potential employer, haven't heard back yet though. Then I called my parents to ask about my car.
My car has been acting weird so I took it to get fixed. That was my main accomplishment of the day. It took several hours so I went on a long walk from Hoffine's to Vienna, graded papers and drank coffee, and walked back. I had perfect timing because the car was ready when I returned, so I drove it to school to play a little DDR (when I discovered that my legs were sore from walking so many miles) and then back home. I had a tutoring appointment that evening so I couldn't go straight to bed. However I had a couple of hours so I thought I would try to get a nap.
I was woken up from a deep sleep by my phone ringing, and when I answered I was very disoriented and confused. I had a very surreal and probably incoherent conversation with a job recruiter who has a very interesting opportunity, and he sent me an email afterwards -- who knows what he thought because it was like 5:30 PM and I sounded all drugged out. Anyway, I was awake again after that so I managed to make it to my tutoring session. Afterwards I came home and watched some TV shows and ended up chatting on the internets until like 2AM, for a grand total of like 32 hours without sleep.
That would explain why I was tired when I woke up this morning, again, to a phone call with a job opportunity. Actually I missed the call but I listened to the voicemail, and it was another class to teach at Ivy Tech. The only thing was that it started today at noon, so I got cleaned up and dressed and ended up getting out there around 11AM, in time to sign the contract and try to get prepared before my first lecture. The textbook was annotated as an instructor's edition, so I was able to kinda wing it using their notes, but it was awkward. Now I will be making enough from Ivy Tech to cover rent and bills, but not food or gas. However I am picking up some steady tutoring here and there. In fact, when I got home, I had email from a kid who wanted tutoring tomorrow. First I replied to the recruiter from last night, then eventually I got around to replying to the tutoring guy.
So far I don't have anything to do tomorrow, but that was how Monday looked on Sunday and how Tuesday looked on Monday, so who knows?
