A few more podcast reviews...

This Week in Tech (TWiT)

This is a really good technology roundtable podcast. Typically it is four to six guys sitting around and shooting the shit about tech news and trends. Common participants are Leo Laporte, John C. Dvorak, Patrick Norton, Kevin Rose, Steve Gibson, Robert Heron, Amber Macarthur, David Pogue, and David Prager. I've even heard Steve Wozniak on TWiT. Very amusing, informative, and the runtime is usually around an hour. Free (assume all of these are free unless I state otherwise).

Highly recommended

Bruce Williams

Bruce Williams is a talk radio personality that I used to listen to a long time ago, until he was no longer carried in Memphis. He is a pretty interesting guy, he has a good and soothing radio voice, and he talks about all sorts of topics on what I call "dadvice" (to coin a term), you know, the kind of advice that you might get from your dad on issues from personal finance to home improvement.

As a podcast this is very mediocre, because it is simply a repackaging of his radio show, not original content. Unfortunately the commercials are still in there. The three-hour program is divided into three one-hour podcast segments available daily.

Semi-recommended
Find it by searching iTMS podcast directory for Bruce Williams.

Adam Curry: Daily Source Code

Adam Curry is an ex-MTV VJ and he coined the term "podcast". I have mixed feelings about his podcast because I expected it to be about computer programming ("source code") but it isn't. Usually he talks about podcasting, royalty-free ("podcast safe") music, and his experimental bio-diesel truck. Additionally he has "metrosexual moments" with grooming tips and he loves to talk about his Philips Senseo coffee maker. In other words, he is a total trendwhore, and his show is professionally edited and produced, so it is pretty entertaining but you feel kinda guilty afterwards like you do after watching an hour of MTV. I'm not sure why it is as popular as it is, but it is extremely popular.

Worth investigating
