DEAR LIVEJOURNAL

Nov 06, 2005 13:55

It's been a relaxing weekend. I've been going to bed really early and consequently getting up really early (like 5PM and 1AM respectively) for the past few days. It's pretty crazy. Unfortunately that means that I ended up sleeping through both DDR nights this week. I'll probably end up playing at the union after ballroom this coming week to tide me over. Speaking of which, I did make it to Thursday night ballroom. I missed out on Samba on Tuesday, but on Thursday we had a different instructor (Matt, not Gina) and he doesn't know Samba very well so he taught us some Swing instead. We covered five or six different steps, it was intense! (Male turn, female turn, double turn, back pass, sweetheart, am I forgetting something?) That night they had planned a Pajama Dance, but we never got email about it, so I'm not sure how many people actually went. I really wanted to go, but I was totally exhausted and still had work to do.

I didn't really have my stuff together for Friday, so I've been slowly catching up on work all weekend. Overall I've been pretty productive though. I vacuumed for the first time in months, bought groceries, did laundry, and worked on some homework. I'm about to do some grading (stab). First I am going to take a shower though, because I just got back from the gym. Twice in two days! Oh, and yesterday I got a super short haircut (kinda like I used to rock a few years ago), I'll try to get new pic up later. Also I went to this salon to have my eyebrows groomed (yeah, metrosexual) and when I got there the girl asked "are you here for a haircut?" Yes, this was like two hours after having my hair cut at another shop.

Also, good news, I finally heard back from two potential employers. Kaplan sent an email saying essentially sorry about taking a month to get back in touch, and that the guy who does training probably won't be free until January. Which reminds me that I should reply to let her know that I am still interested. Anyway, also the NSA asked for me to send in my transcripts, which means my application finally met human eyes and that whole ball is rolling. So I'm going to fax some copies and request the originals both on Monday.

Okay, time to get back to work.
