Birthday Thoughts
How do you feel when it's your birthday? Why?
Although my birthday was several months ago, I've always loved birthdays. I feel that every year of one's life that is lived to one's fullest capacity is an accomplishment that should be celebrated with close friends and family. Presents are always welcome, but are completely optional.
Of course, when I was a child there were many times when my mother would embarrass me with her birthday antics - like dressing up as a popular holo character and trying to surprise me with a themed costume party - but overall I must admit that I had a happy childhood with loving and devoted (if a bit eccentric) mother and father.
I probably don't need to mention this, but Tarvokian pound cake with dark chocolate frosting and double-chocolate ice cream is one of my favorite birthday desserts!
