Thread Tracking: Day 46
First, Hayes leaves a note on the bulletin to attract possible canonmates. Then he meets Bridget over breakfast, trips over the fuzzy gender line, and gets all big-brother protective over little kids getting nommed by demon dogs.
On a lighter note, Tanaka responds to his note! And leaves an even more interesting one! (And he lets TK know he still exists.)
In second shift, Tobias is angsting over last night's SC. Hayes says, "Cheer up, emo bird!" (Not exactly, but there is cheering up.)
Then, as previously arranged over the board, he finally meets Tanaka and ZEX. Timelines are worked out, and Hayes is very surprised that there's a Shofixti. (Also a VUX, but he's too polite to pass comment on that.)
Dinner with McCoy is uneventful, but it's followed by an unpleasant Nightshift. TK-622 has brought a friend, Xigbar, who immediately rubs Hayes the wrong way no matter how cool his gun(!) is. They're soon attacked by freakish near-invulnerable demon-puppet-things, and the only good thing about it is that Hayes gets one of Xigbar's knives, which he plans to not return as long as possible.
