Oho, the LJ ads. D: Does Kat have the adblock plugin? We're so used to not seeing ads over here that we kind of forget everyone else can still see them. (I'm afraid to find out what kind've weird ads are showing up on my LJ, heh.)
Things have been pretty subdued around here too. We're all reeling a bit from Erin's schedule change and her abominable sleeping habits, but we've been pestering her to get back to answering comments for days now. Er, sorry for the absence, by the way.
Wow, Hope? :D We haven't really been exposed to FFXIII yet, but I kinda see the resemblance there. Erin likes to compare me to other characters too. (Lately she's been going on about how Ruffnut from How To Train Your Dragon totally reminds her of me when I was younger. I'm not sure whether that's hilarious or just insulting.)
We're all intrigued by Hayden's story in general, though at the moment I can't think of anything specific to ask about. (We love the art Kat has up on her Wordpress gallery, tho'.)
Having cut ties with my own past pretty abruptly, I can sort of understand not wanting to run into certain people. That sounds rough. :< Erin worries about what would happen if she accidentally ran into her dad or stepmom somewhere. I've also noticed Erin semi-deliberately acting like certain characters depending on the role she has to play, but I don't know if that would be an issue when she's dealing with her parents.
D'you think it'd help if you and Kat wrote down what you might say to that person if you did meet her, just to get the feelings out? Kind of like role-playing preemptively? Or would that be too uncomfortable? (I mention it because Erin used to write out a lot of ragey angry things that she wanted to say to her stepmom but never did. Hard to say if it really helped or just magnified the anger, though.)
So far, for some reason, Kat's avoided adblock. I don't know why, though. They have ads that have sound and video without asking for it. It's highly intrusive.
It's all right. The Kattish apologize for our sluggishness as well. D: We have no excuse except the continued state of Kat not having finished FFXIII.
Oh god. Well...I suppose if I were to look like -any- character from anywhere else when I was 13, it would be Hope. You don't see many 13 year olds wth grey dirty blonde hair around. *_* His dad has hair the same color as Ziggy's though, and Hope himself just looks like a carbon copy of his mother.
(We still need and really want to see How To Train Your Dragon! Kevin and Kat are all into the viking thing. Kevin more than Kat, though. He's much better qualified, on account of studying the Poetic Eddas. Since we haven't seen it, I'd recommend opting for hilarious, just not to perpetuate grudges.)
Kat's in the process of working on his novel, so she keeps on forgetting how much or how little she has up on the internet. It's weird for her to hold something back, but she's held back a lot of information about him for the past 7 years while it evolves.
There are certain authority figures in general that stand above the use of interacting like a character. Parents and bosses and cops are among these authority figures. D:
Hmm...that probably would help. It'd be out of the ordinary to get no response back, but it'd be better than absolutely nothing. Thanks, Laurel. :>
