In which Caesar approaches Cecile with a most grave concern...
Caesar: *walks up to Cecile while she's on duty* Excues me.
Cecile: *spins around, half expecting it to be Yuber again* Oh! ... Oh, it's you, Sir Caesar... I thought for a minute... well. *salutes* How may I help you?
Caesar: I have a question for you. It's about the people who've been temporally displaced.
Cecile: *straightens up more* You mean all the new people? Well, lots of people here aren't necessarily new, but they came from all over!
Caesar: The people from the past yes. When did they start showing up?
Cecile: *pauses and thinks for a moment* Well... I suppose it... well... Sir Caesar, this is a really hard question. ;_; I think I would have to say Miss Yun, because I was told she died.
Caesar: Wait... that little girl that Chirs met in that one forsety place? Alma Kinan or something?
Cecile: *nods* That's what Lady Chris told me! Miss Yun showed up at the front gates one day! She didn't say anything about dying though... I didn't learn about that until aferwards.
Caesar: *sighs* Oh man. When was that?
Cecile: *has to sit and think again* Just a little over five years ago, I think!
Caesar: Five years... that would be *thinks* 477.
Cecile: I think so? *embarrassed blush; math is not her strong suit* Are you looking for Miss Yun?
Caesar: I just wanted to know when people who techincally shouldn't be here started showing up.
Caesar: Now, before Luca tried to take over the castle last year, did any other major incidents occur?
Cecile: *makes a face upon hearing Luca's name, then rubs her nose in thought for a moment* Well... nothing really dramatic. It is usually very peaceful here. People enjoy being together and meeting new friends!
Caesar: I'm sure, *small smile* So, that's it, until last year things were pretty peaceful? Nothing big?
Cecile: *nods* For the most part yes. Sometimes people get into fights, but nothing too serious. Why do you ask?
Caesar: Just want to get a feel for the place. I'm going to probably be speading a lot of time here, I want to know what's happened.
Cecile: *claps her hands together* A lot of time? I'm so glad you're staying!!! You're comfortable where you're rooming, right??
Caesar: Yeah. I am.
Cecile: *happy flutter* That's fantastic! And I hope that the scary things that happened recently don't discourage you...
Caesar: Please, compared to what Luc did back during the Second Fire Bringer War, that's nothing.
Cecile: Still... having a new sun in the sky... well, it wasn't like anything I've ever seen before. *fluster* I feel like there was so much I could have done but didn't do... maybe I could have prevented it! And now Yuber is back...
Caesar: *looks up at the sky* Huh... well. *wants to say he knows why Yuber's here, but at the same time... Silverbergs look out for each other*
Cecile: *flusters* I don't know what I'd do if he found out that Master Thomas was unwell... Hopefully he'll leave before then!!
Caesar: I doubt it... *sighs*
Cecile: *sighs as well, looking out at the courtyard* I know you sound worried about people coming from other times and places but... but if it makes so many other people happy, it can't really be a bad thing, can it?
Caesar: I'm not worried about that. I'm worried for them.
Cecile: .. Do you think... people will start disappearing like Miss Nanami?
Caesar: That, I'm not sure of. But what I am worried about is someone else getting interested in why it's happening here. And then people will come out and try to take them away and do horrible things to them.
Cecile: Horrible... like put them in jail!? For breaking the rules of... of... well, time?? I don't think that's a law though, is it??
Caesar: *pats Cecile's shoulder* I think these people who would be interested in them wouldn't care about laws themselves, and they would torure them and do experiments on them because they break the wall of time. That's what I'm worried about. It's cruel and it's inhumane.
Cecile: ... *visibly pales, then turns a shade of green* .... Experiments? But... but most people ended up here accidentally!
Caesar: That won't matter to these people. And the residents here ... well, they don't exactly hide the fact they're from the past, do they? Someone's going to hear about it, and they'll turn it into their personal play ground of torture and scince.
similar to the Zexen one, but with a closer to home danger, I'm going to need help putting it
Cecile: ... *dizzy* But.. well, if someone came up to me and said they came from the past, and I didn't really know about Budehuc, I'd think they were daffy! I wouldn't... want to do those things to them...
Caesar: I don't either. And that's why I'm trying to learn as much as I can, so it doesn't happen. I'm going to talk to Thomas, Geddoe, Nash, Chris and Hugo, if I can find him. But this sort of thing isn't going to be left unnoticed.
Cecile: I... ah... *trying to digest all this in* Master Thomas is recovering from the flu still, so I do not know how soon he can speak with you. I... I know this is important, Sir
Caesar, but please! Please wait to speak to Master Thomas until he's well... news like this is more than just a little discomforting.. I don't want him to fall ill again.
Caesar: *nods* I won't, I promise. *pats her shoulder again* I'm sorry to put this on you.
Cecile: *musters up another salute* I won't let you down! I promise! I just... in the meantime, I'll do my best to make sure people are.. not so vocal, I suppose.
Caesar: That would be great.
