Gifts and Etc!
All of Sir Barts' tomatos are gone! I feel terrible; he was really looking forward to harvesting them and they were starting to look really ripe. Maybe we should fence off the garden with barbed wire...
I gave Rody his birthday present today!! At first I wasn't sure what to get him, but I decided to make him something! I braided a couple pieces of twine and threaded them with acorns. I had Hortez use one of his scrolls (I don't remember which one, but he told me it would work best) to charm it with so that Rody can tie it around the base of his broomstick and it'll let him fly faster! I hope he likes it. He offered to make me something to help me stay awake for my evening shift, but I told him he shouldn't worry about that right now. It's his birthday and he has enough to take care of with Caesar being sick.
Sir Clive gave me a gift today--a pretty ring he brought back from his trip. Apparently it had belonged to someone else but I felt awkward asking...? I put it with the stuffed griffin Sir Fred brought back for me when he went to Vinay del Zexay. I'm going to have to go on a trip myself one of these days! I asked Riou (I'm not quite sure what to call him) if I could watch him spar and he said it was fine.
Also, I stopped by to see Lord McDohl before I went on my shift; he gave me a nice book. I can't wait to start reading it! It'll give me something to do on my shift He also brought back some essentials for Rico. We also discussed how we were going to keep the area clear when we need to set up... He told me he'd help me look for my missing helmet. Miss Yun told me that she would help me look for it too, but I haven't seen her much; she's been busy taking care of Reni and Valor.
