In which Cecile leaves her armor with Peggi (and it is the muns' first time prose RPing, yay!), and there are no ducklings in the blacksmith shop.
I love my Megan. :3 I'm just too lazy to clean it all up.
Cecile approached the blacksmith's shop with caution, the constant clanging of the hammer causing her momentary anxiety. She knew it was time to leave her armor with Peggi for cleaning, but it was always difficult to part with it.
It Was the CLAM: (yes, go on. she hasn't said anything yet.)
LAC768: (This would be where you'd say something like, "Peggi was hunched over the anvil, killing hot iron with every smack of his hammuh. It was a busy day, and lots of weapons needed to be sharpened!" Or something.)
LAC768: (Hullo?)
It Was the CLAM: (I'm trying to think of a way to begin it without stealing what you just said.)
LAC768: (You can steal it. :P And add onto it too if you want.)
Peggi was hunched over the anvil, killing hot iron with every smack of his hammuh. It was a busy day, and lots of weapons needed to be sharpened!
With a curious eye Cecile entered the shop, looking around at the weapons, both sharp and dull. The air smelled like hot iron, and she wrinkled her nose. "P-Peggi? Are you busy right now?"
It Was the CLAM: (ok. this is *call on other line.* going to be very hard. what would peggi *call waiting* say *call waiting* ?)
LAC768: (Whatever he wants to. :O You must be creative!! Just imagine this is like one of your emails with Charlotte.)
It Was the CLAM: (ok. i think it's just the way Cecile started that makes this hard. Arg!)
LAC768: (But she asked him a question. ._. I thought that'd be easiest.)
It Was the CLAM: (i think that it's just the question she asked that makes it hard.)
Cecile scratches the side of her head, watching Peggi sharpen a sword, a rather ugly sword, by the looks of it. Perhaps he didn't hear her over the clanging? She took a deep breath and shouted, "EXCUSE ME, SIR PEGGI???"
Peggin looked up from Mitsuba's sword. "Wut's up, Castle Guardling?!" he seemed to shriek when he saw Cecile standing in front of his blacksmith's shop. (i'm on a roll!)
Castle Guardling? Cecile blinked. "You mean...like a duckling?" She glanced around with an eager look on her face for any stray ducklings wandering in the blacksmith shop. (hehe)
Cecile's misunderstandably understood misunderstanding confused Peggi. "Uh. . .Yeah! I guess so!"
LAC768: (OMG I love you Megan)
It Was the CLAM: (thank you)
Clearly Peggi misunderstandably misunderstood the risk of having ducklings in the blacksmith shop. "I've come to leave my armor with you for the spring. It needs to be cleaned and readjusted. I've grown a bit taller, you know!!!"
It Was the CLAM: (did Cecile take off her armor yet? I don't want Peggi to take her armor only to make it seem like he stripped her.)
LAC768: (XDDD;; Don't worry, she still has it. I'll have her take it off herself; Peggi's talons are too lizardish to do that anyway. And he's....a lizard. >_> So yeah.)
It Was the CLAM: (yes. that sounds very wrong. my hot chocolate is cold now.)
LAC768: (Aww, poor thing.)
It Was the CLAM: (now it's cold choclolate.)
LAC768: (okay.)
It Was the CLAM: (i can't speak as Peggi until I'm certain Cecile's armor is off. *call waiting. please hold.*)
LAC768: (He could say something about her height, since she just mentioned it.)
It Was the CLAM: (like, *call waiting* "Yup. I can tell you've gotten *call waiting* taller." ?)
LAC768: (Something like that. :D )
It Was the CLAM: (ok *call waiting*)
LAC768: (:O)
Peggi glanced at Cecile's armor as he placed Mitsuba's sword in the pile of finished weapons and picked up Eugene's spear. "Yup. I can tell you've gotten bigger," he replied.
"Taller" was the acknowledgement Cecile had been hoping for, since "bigger" did not always refer to the nicest things, but Peggi did not have strange physical-figure complexes like Hervey or Nash, so his intentions must be good, Cecile reasoned. "I certainly hope so!!!! One day I'll be taller than even Juan!!" she said while taking her helmet off and pushing back the black hood of her jacket. "Is that Sir Eugene's spear?"
Peggi paused to take Cecile's armor; then looked at the spear. "Yup," he said, "It's got dat weird mark-thingy on it. I remember dat from the last time I sharpened Unicorn Boy's spear." (I love that name.)
It Was the CLAM: (my hot chocolate's gotten so cold it's like i'm drinkin chocolate milk.)
LAC768: (Ewwwwww. I'd toss it out.)
It Was the CLAM: (ok)
LAC768: (Just remember to clean the sink out or mom will get mad)
"Weird mark thingy...?" Cecile paused and glanced over at Eugene's spear. "I suppose it has some rather pretty designs on it..." she mused, then finished removing the remainder of her armor. It was a peculiar feeling, losing all that extra weight and bulk, but the result was a fluttery sense of near-weightlessness.
Peggi looked closly at the markings. "I guess so," he said. "But Peggi's never been into the 'pretty thing.' That's more of Shiba's type of thing." He took the rest of Cecile's armor and put it in the pile of armor to be cleaned.
LAC768: (OMG YOU DIDN'T. XD)
LAC768: (Shiba <3)
It Was the CLAM: (OMG I DID!)
"Yes, well, you are very pretty in your own special way, Sir Peggi," the small girl said with a solemn nod, then looked over to the pile of armor. "My goodness, you certainly seem busy!! Do a lot of people get their armor cleaned this time of year?"
It Was the CLAM: (how would Peggi describe Lady Chris?)
It Was the CLAM: (Pretty Knight Lady?)
LAC768: (Maybe shiny? Because she has white hair? Or Knight Captain Woman, since he's part of the Lizard Clan. He probably won't find her pretty, since she killed Zepon.)
"Yeah," he replied. "Knight Captain Woman likes to have her armor very shiny around this time of year."
"You mean Lady Chris? Perhaps you have her mistaken with someone else, Sir Peggi. She has been away from Budehuc for a while. But..." she stopped and counted on her fingers. "We certainly have a lot of knights here with armor besides her and I."
"Maybe you're right. With so many knights here, it can make Peggi's job very confusing."
"I had never thought of that before," she replied, then fiddled with her hands for a momet. She had spent so much time complaining last year for Peggi's tardiness with her armor cleaning, but she had never stopped to consider why it took him so long. Now that she knew, she felt ashamed.
"Dat's ok," he said as he continued killing the hot iron on Eugene's spear.
"I'm very sorry. It was terribly rude of me last year to be so insistent. Take your time with my armor, Sir Peggi."
"I'll make sure that it's super mega shiny!!!"
Cecile bowed, her hair falling in her face. It would take a little time to become reaccustomed to bowing without the extra weight from her helmet, even though she had been missing it for a while. "Thank you very much!!! I hope it's done by the end of the festival week!!"
Peggi grinned a lizard-ish grin. "No problem!!!"
"Ehehe...." Lizard-ish grins apparently took some getting used to, Cecile realized, since Peggi looked menacing indeed. "I will come to check on it some time, okay?"
"Yup!" Soon the banging of Peggi's hammuh on hot iron became to loud for the lizard with his "DA OWCH" for him to be able to hear anything.
With a small smile, Cecile slipped out of the blacksmith shop, leaving Peggi to do her work. The grounds seemed deserted. With no one around to watch her, she skipped off to her post, enjoying every free moment without her armor.
LAC768: (OMG I mean "his" work. Peggi's not a girl. >_>)
It Was the CLAM: (ARE YOU CALLING MY LIZARD A WOMAN?!!!!!)
LAC768: (NOOOOO TT__TT FORGIVE MEEEE)
It Was the CLAM: (it's okay. i was just being weird. odd face you have there.)
LAC768: (It's crying. Female!Peggi makes me cry inside.)
