At least her heart is in the right place...right?
Cecile: *sitting on the front steps of the castle, polishing her armor in between her shifts*
Colton: *approaches the young garrison commander, his arm crudely bandaged*
Cecile: *looks up, then hastily scrambles to her feet, saluting with the hand that holds the polishing cloth* You wished to speak with me, Sir Colton??
Colton: *smiles* I did. Can we sit down? I'm afraid my arm is hurting me something awful.
Cecile: *nods, relaxing her salute and pushing aside her shield and spear she was preparing to polish in order to make room, then sits on the steps again*
Colton: *sits next to her* I learned something that I felt that I should report to you, the captain of the guards, immediately.
Cecile: Immediately? *her eyes widen* Has someone died?!
Colton: No, no, but death may be imminent.
Cecile: *a faint flicker of fear passes over her face, but is quickly covered with an expression of severe concern* I have been on a most vigilant patrol schedule lately. Should I extend it?
Colton: Ah, I believe the problem is confined to the castle. See yesterday evening Rekion gave me a nasty bite. So, I went to see the doctor but it would seem that he's...incapacitated...
Cecile: I do think that "incapacitated" is not the right word for the situation. *starts to say something else, but bows her head* I'm sorry for interrupting.
Colton: No, no, you're fine. But he was asleep and not in the normal sense--dead to the world. *looks around nervously* I wonder if Rekion did something to him!
Cecile: Did something? B-but--Sir Colton, you must have heard her explain about the drug, didn't you? She said they were not harmful!!
Colton: *shakes his head* I've known many sleeping potions in my time...but none that made a man nearly comatose!
Cecile: But Lady Rekion is terribly fond of Sir Mathiu. *takes a deep breath to console herself* She would never hurt him.
Colton: *scoffs* She's not human, Cecile. She's a concoction of elements. She has no emotions, no loyalities. Remember back a few months when the infirmary was destroyed? She was the one who hurt him!
Cecile: ....*immaturely* You were the one who kicked him, so who are you to talk?!
Colton: *attempts to shush her* Shh...no. I didn't kick him. I didn't touch him.
Cecile: *frowns* But I saw you!! *bites her lip* I'm sure of it!
Colton: Ah, I may have nudged him but nothing I did caused any damage. We must be vigilant, Cecile!
Cecile: I am always vigilant!!! :O But perhaps Sir Mathiu is just....very much asleep!! He would be most unhappy if I woke him up while he was napping!
Colton: ...then try waking him yourself.
Cecile: ...... Is it that serious? *suddenly feels very small and insecure*
Colton: *shrugs* I'm not an expert in medicine, but I tell you that the man won't wake.
Cecile: If that is truly true, then what do we do?
Colton: Well, Cray is skilled in alchemy...and he's probably where she got the drug. I'm sure he'll have an antidote. But why would she do that?
Cecile: Why would she use the antidote? Why, because she cares about Sir Mathiu, of course!! *flails*
Colton: *scoffs* She cares about nothing but herself. You'll have to get the antidote from Cray and administer it yourself.
Cecile: >( I can do that!! I'm brave enough! And I am sure Sir Cray will have no qualms about helping Sir Mathiu!!
Colton: In the meantime...something needs to be done with Rekion. She's very dangerous.
Cecile: *shakes her head* If there is to be any action taken against Lady Rekion, it would have to be by Master Thomas's orders.
Colton: You'll have to tell him then. You are the captain of the guard, aren't you?
Cecile: Tell Master Thomas..? But.... ._. The last time something like this happened he was very disappointed.
Colton: But you can prevent it! You'll be a hero, Cecile. *smiles*
Cecile: Being a hero has nothing to do with it!! If Master Thomas is upset with me.... ;__; *fiddles with her hands*
Colton: He won't be upset! You're doing your job. You're protecting us!
Cecile: .............. That....that is what a guard ought to do......
Colton: *stands up* Precisely. I need to go find another bandage for this arm.
Cecile: W-wait, Sir Colton!! How will I know if it's the antidote or not when I ask Sir Cray for it?
Colton: I don't know. Surely someone else here is skilled in medicines in alchemy?
Cecile: *shakes her head* Lady Maxine and Lord Hikusaak seems to dabble in that sort of thing, but no one is as skilled as Sir Cray.
Cecile: At least in alchemy...I think. ._.
Colton: *sighs pitifully* It would be a sad thing to lose such a skilled physician as Master Mathiu.
Cecile: We won't lose him!!!!!! I--we can't!! *tears up* I promise I won't let anything bad happen to him!!
Colton: *grins* I didn't know he had a fanclub. *coughs and then speaks seriously* I'm sure you won't. You're a talented guard, Cecile.
