So I went to the Power of One Conert (big christian concert) up in Green Bay and one of the headliners was Five Iron Frenzy on their Winners Never Quit Tour. This was the main band I wanted to see becuase they're a big name Ska band that is breaking up in a week after the performance. I thought that this would attract a lot of ska kids to the show. Unfortunately I was one of a dozen people that were skanking out of around five thousand or so people there. I even put on a quasi-ska outfit for the show too. Five Iron Frenzy was great to see, but it would have been more enjoyable with ska kids. I ask, where have all the ska kids gone? Is it a dead/dying genre? A few years ago the place probably would have been packed with Ska fans, but alas I fear they are on the way out.
