:: sigh ::
A few days ago I applied for a new current account / savings account / credit card (yes, all at once, I had a productive day!). The cards have just come through, and they all have "Christophe" on them. I've logged in to the website and checked and I definitely typed "Christopher", so I think what's happened is that they can only print 10 characters for forenames on the card.
Now, maybe it's just me, but if you can only print 10 characters on a card and someone has an 11-character name, it might be wise to [a] NOT just blindly print only the first 10 characters, and [b] WARN people so that they can instead enter for example "Chris" so as to avoid the problem? Isn't that sensible, or am I just being anal in expecting my actual name to appear on the card? Hmmm?
