Friday night I went to the Zodiac to see a bunch of local all-girl rock bands at the Zodiac, including AllYouMiss, Harlette and Last Proposal. The music was good, but unfortunately I'd failed to realise that this was an all-ages gig and as such they weren't serving any alcohol. No cider for me, sadly. You'd have thought they'd have made this a bit more obvious, perhaps a big neon flashing sign saying "hey, no alcohol, so if you've had a long busy day and could really do with a drink, go to the pub first". Never mind, AllYouMiss were great so that cheered me up.
The rest of the weekend was pretty dull, due to much studying. I have an assignment due this Friday so I was working my socks off on that. I've already passed the assignment part of the course, but I'd like to get my mark up a bit anyway. I am getting tired of drawing software-development-related diagrams though, I'm doing a bit of that at work at the moment as well so it seems never-ending.
The study-filled weekend was occasionally brightened-up thanks to a stop-start musical discussion with
wetsleeve, and a couple of bouts of texts from
fairy_of_ice69. Thanks for keeping me sane, people.
