Caffeine Deprived
It is Day Three of my latest attempt to stop drinking coca-cola. The last time I tried to give up coke, I had a blinding caffeine-deprivation headache by now, but I then adopted the tactic of gradually weaning myself off it, and after three days I seem to be doing okay. I will be free of the caffeine addiction!
I have two games of Star Fleet Battles coming up, both against the_div. The first, tonight, is a small Kzinti vs Klingon engagement set during the Four Powers War. It's been a long time since we've played anything in that sort of era - everything we've done recently has either been Early Years or mid-General War. It should be interesting. On paper, I'm realizing all over again that the Klingon F5 is a fine ship. I'm not entirely sure which side I'll be flying yet; I'm guessing Div will pick the Klingons, but he may decide to steal the Kzintis off me in order to throw me off balance.
The second game is a more traditional General War-era fleet action, with six ships per side. A mixed Federation and Kzinti fleet is going up against a Klingon fleet. Again, I don't know which side I'll be taking yet, but since there's a Klingon F6 involved I'm pretty sure Div will want the Klingons. He loves that ship.
