(no subject)

After we finished eating, I got up to inspect the museum exhibits in the old restaurant. There were only a few displays, and the subject of all of them was an apparent haunting in the nearby fields and forest.

One of the displays was somewhat bizarre--a wooden set of cubbyhole shelves, each compartment containing a life-sized (and very lifelike) animatronic human head. All were disabled, and I didn't really want to press any of the buttons that would make the various explorers, researchers, or witnesses explain their recorded experience with the haunting. Most of the heads looked down at an angle when inactive, but a few looked up or forward with their dormant eyes.

I went outside alone to see the area in question. It wasn't far from the restaurant at all. The wet grass reflecting the moonlight made an attractive scene. Everything had a faint blue glow about it, which I realized was becoming lighter in tint. I felt a little frightened, but I thought that it was simply the stories of the haunting getting to me. Against the darkness of the forest, I saw a vague blue outline of a person standing in the field not far from me. The blue glow increased and became erratic. Electricity seemed to sparkle in the air. My vision blurred and tilted as I stared at the entity with increasing dread. It was now more sharply defined, and it seemed to be a female figure.
