As lordjulius points out, this list has clearly been fan-edited as it makes its way around the internet (check out the pairings of 14 vs 98 or 33 vs 36). Nevertheless, it's amusing to fill out. Some folks on facebook have tagged me so I thought I'd go for it.

My high school made us read a lot of classics. :) I'm actually surprised that more people don't have at least 50% of this list just from forced school reading.

Here's some bragging: Two of the above books I have read in French, although Les Miserables was an abridged edition. Again, that was all for school; my voluntary reading in French was almost entirely Tintin comics.

Ike has been getting into my (English) Asterix comics and demanding that I read them to him. He doesn't get so many of the horrible puns, but he likes watching Obelix whomp on everything around. I'd feel bad about all of the violence, but he already memorized my Complete Spy vs. Spy collection, so it's too late to worry about that.

Oh, how cute!

Hey, I read a lot of Spy vs. Spy as a kid, *and* watched Warner Brothers cartoons, and still managed to grow up into a pacifist.
