I don't pay for my LJ account any more, so this poll will have to be by-hand. I'm sure y'all can handle it!
When I get my tongue re-pierced, should I:
(a) just do the center
(b) get two, but do one at a time
(c) get two, both at the same time
(d) any of the above
I'm leaning toward (b), but then I'm gonna be off-balance for a while. I've wanted two holes in my tongue since a couple years after I got my original tongue piercing. I really liked the look of it on my friends who had 'em. Ideally I would love to have two in a line down the center instead of side-by-side, but I think my tongue is too short for that. I'll have to talk to the piercer and see what he or she thinks.
In case folks are curious, it took me about eight weeks to recover, the first time I got my tongue done, and I was about 20 years younger. My tongue was swelled up for a good three weeks, and tender for much longer than that.
And, hey, speaking of bodywork, it's been a good 15 years since I had any done. Who's a good local piercer? I took my baby sister to Incognito for her ears back in the day, and also had my Trystero horn done there, and at the time they were pretty good. Old Town Tattoo seems reasonable, I haven't talked to their piercer yet but I have spoken with their front-desk folks who are competent. I'm willing to leave Pasadena if there's someone good, heck, I can even do Bay Area given how often I'm up there.
I'm thinking I might get my ear rings reinserted first, just to see how I like whoever's work.
