(no subject)
I am here at panera using there free wireless as i don't actually have internet in my apartment until adelphia calls me back. nor do i have tv nor friends so i am quite bored.
but beyond that state college is great so far. It feels like i've been here for much longer than a week so that is probably a good thing. I'm finally move into my apartment, after much hoopla with the recarpeting/reflooring. but it was worth it, the floors look great.
THe radio station is tons of fun. I've been getting nothing but good feedback from listeners and the higher ups, which makes me really happy. My co-host ken is funny, i still think of him as kind of a dad figure but i have to get over that so we can get on with being amusing to listeners by (this is a quote from my boss) "exploiting my singleness" and my tendency to become touchy-feely when drunk.
We've got a stunt guy who we've already sent out on some expeditions, and i really feel like i'm contributing to the show which is a great feeling. Our new intern starts on thursday. wtf, i have an intern?! yeah. cause i have sooo much wisdom to impart. I can't wait until my first weekend shift because that's solo and although i've been getting a lot of praise, i feel like i'm still not doing the best i could be and i want to prove myself during a solo shift, and maybe it will help me get my game back for the morning. (i'm too hard on myself). We talked on wednesday i think that if you're on your cell phone all the time you're depressed. maybe i'm not depressed just kinda lonely. i feel like there should be so much to do here but all i do is go shopping. (something that i'm starting not to be able to afford) so if you get a call from me, humor me and chat. just for a minute or two. so i can remind myself that i infact do have some friends.
I went to my first "live and wild with hot103 at players nightclub" last night. it was kinda dead, which sucked, cause i didn't want to dance either by myself or with drunk townies. but i did meet intern ray, who looks exactly like ray vidella. weird. but it's fun when your boss buys you drinks in order to make good radio ;-) next week i promised to dance with skippy, the local townie who breaks it down on the dance floor... that should be fun.
