I'm pleased to announce that I have finally defeated the forces of the evil closed-flue stench. Not only does my apartment no longer smell like smoke, but it's been transformed into a wilderness wonderland by the miracle that is Oust. Yes, I'm a slave to advertising, but something I saw on television finally came through for me in a big way. Not only does it sanitize the air, but it gets rid of nasty smells along the way. I purchased a small
battery-operated fan device which circulates fresh-smelling air into my living room, and it's worth every penny. Also, remember NEVER to dissolve baking soda into the water of a humidifier. It'll just make you feel like you're breathing plaster.
Spent the last four days in Bloomington with Nicole before she had to head back to classes. We went and saw the remake of "The Producers," which I didn't think was as good as the original. The original was not as big-budget and overblown as the new one. Gene Wilder is also better than Matthew Broderick in the role of Leo Bloom. Neither did the added love story between Uma Thurman and Broderick need to be added (though a bunch of screen time for Thurman is nothing to complain about).
Work with Infoble seems to be going well. Looks like there should be some steady work (and with it some much-needed extra cash) soon. Stay tuned.
