I've lived so very long, and so much music has come and gone. Phases of my life have been defined by very different sounds and quite incompatible styles ;-).
"Songwriter" narrows it down a bit, though. I mean, you can't really call Betty Davis a "Songwriter" - or can you? Her "Nasty gal" album certainly meant a lot to me in my teens.
But of all the albums and songs, in German and English, I'd still choose Joan Baez. Especially her "come from the shadows" album. Reading those texts again, all the music came back. And the memories...
Yes. I'm OLD. My time is SO over, it's quite ridiculous. Growing up in those years though - that was good.
