I Haven't Been Forgotten
I got a nice new email from one of my buddies from the Anaheim Ducks hierarchy just now, who told me that my gift was still coming... They still hadn't forgotten about me. He stated that what happened was "unfortunate", but they're still willing to go through on their promise. How nice of them to do that! :) I gave Jerry the address and I should be expecting a package sometime soon.
Thing was, this gift should have been sent last summer. According to him, there hasn't been anything else new within the Ducks marketing-wise from last seasons equipment/pictures, as they wish to put the past behind them. There's no new traditions there made either, as its been a dead season just about. He told me he was waiting to see if nothing new was going on. Nothing did, so he's going to ship the stuff that he saved up to send. They're focused more on the upcoming playoffs. I understand that. The past is the past, and now its time for the 2008 Ducks to defend their Stanley Cup Championship. Its the new marketing crew's job now to help defend. I'm officially retired from the business until I get paid, LOL ;)
Even though I've been frustrated about it in the past, they say "patience comes to those who wait"... Waiting a full summer for it? -.- /sigh
I know I say I have everything, but things wouldn't be complete without it. Too bad it won't have my name on it, but it will be stored in a very nice place. ;) I might even wear it at times. All I know is that its a pretty nice going away present from the club.
I won't say what it is, though. ;) You'll know when you see it.
