Rally Monday 2007

It's Official! The Cubs are the Central Division Champions.... even if they got swept by Florida the other night, but thats not the point. The Brewers choked yet again, and this time, the Cubs get to celebrate, this time in the Loop.
The Chicago Cubs have recently issued this statement on their website, Cubs.com:

CHICAGO -- Want to celebrate the Cubs' winning the National League Central Division?
Come party at Cubs Rally Monday at Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago, beginning at noon CT on Monday. Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich will attend, as well as other special guests.

Fans are asked to arrive by 11:30 a.m., and the event is scheduled to last until 12:45 p.m. The event is free and will be held rain or shine.

I don't know if its wise for Blago the Magnificent to show his face here in town after what he's pulled with the recent CTA ordeal, but we'll see how things are handled. I'll be at the event on Monday, because hey, I did support the Cubs this year, you know... hehe... And I'm glad that I could be a part of yet another exciting experience. But even then, this blows the Angels' World Championship out of the water. I just can't imagine what will happen if the Cubs go any further.

Oh, and for the record, bandwagonners welcome!
