Normal parties weren't usually Yeo's thing. He preferred the kind that had masks, like masquarades or Halloween parties.
He was sitting on the grass, sketching passer-bys in his sketchbook. So far, there wasn't much to draw from. Nothing to inspire him for future creations. He exhaled and flopped back in to the greenery, not minding that his current drawing was exposed to everyone. It had a rather life-like appearance on the paper.
Kiara was a curious little thing. She also loved being around people. People were great! Who cared what her silly aunt thinked?
So when Kiara spotted a stranger sitting all on his lonesome drawing, she just had to say hello. In a split second she was hovering over him, wings flapping lazily as she glanced down at his sketchbook.
He blinked a little in surprise at this stranger floating above him. To be honest, he really wasn't surprised.
"Drawing." He informed, letting curiosity in his voice take over. "What are you? I've never seen something like that before."
He was getting excited and moved to sit up, taking care to not head-butt Kiara. He flipped the page over and started to sketch, quickly already forming a decent outline of her.
"A phae? Can you explain to me what that is, please?"
He watched her zoom around him, quickly sketching in the upper right corner of the page of her flying before returning to his prior sketch. He was already on the details of the larger drawing.
Kiara smiled, vanished, and the reappeared floating above his head once again.
"Wow you're really really really good! How'd you learn to draw like that? I can't draw very well. My Aunt says there's no real need to learn. But she can't draw, either! So what does she know? Humans draw all sorts of things. And they paint, too! I'd love to paint. Do you paint? What's it made out of, do you know? If you don't that's okay! Because I bet I could make my own if I tried. or it could be a mess and Auntie would be mad. but that's nothing new anyway. Oh! And I'm Kiara."
He glanced up when he saw Kiara floating above him. The puppeteer was able to keep up with her ramble and ended up letting out a chuckle.
"Kiara was it? I'm Yeo." He introduced himself before turning his gaze down at his work. "I've always had this ability to draw and it comes in handy. As for painting? Rarely, but its a nice change from drawing with pencils. If you're asking about how the paint is made, I've heard various things."

"I'm a phae, silly!"
Kiara shot higher into the air, zoomed around him once, and then landed lightly on her feet in front of him.
"See?"

And unfortunately Kiara doesn't know much about her species or their history, thanks to her rather unconventional upbringing. Thanks, auntie!
But then Kiara bends down and peeks at his sketchbook again.
"Oh! Are you drawing me?"
She jumped up, smiled, and struck a pose.

"Yes, I am." He replied with a smile. "You are rather interesting."
He quickly finished off the larger sketch before flipping the page to a new one to draw her in her pose. Figuring that she would want to keep it.
About thirty seconds later, he was working on the details.

And then Kiara curtsied. She remembers her manners sometimes, honest.
"I guess I'm just going to have to experiment, then!" Which in Kiara's book meant a great big mess.
