Leela and I are relaxing because my interview got cancelled. Because the manager called in sick. Which I find really amusing because I saw him out on a bar crawl last night.
Rob, Chad, Justin, and Kismet just left for Des Moines, and we had lunch together at Pancheros before they left. It was really awesome to see them, because it's been a LONG time since we all hung out. I missed the Kismet a lot. We used to hang out ALL the time. We all had some really awesome times. It was fun to see all those guys again.
Also, fun to see ZANE! At around 3:30 on Friday Brian and I began getting ready to leave for Davenport to pick up Zane. We managed to actually get on the road at like 4:30. So, we went and found Zane's apartment, which is SUPER cute, and picked him up and headed back to Iowa City. We drove around so I could show Zane the remains of my old apartment where we used to hang out all the time, then Brian dropped us off at my apartment and Zane and I went to John's Grocery and got a bunch of PBR. Then Brian came back and we started drinking beer and watching Seinfeld. Around eight we headed over to the Mill, and stopped at the Buzz to say hi to Dan. I think we may have scared the person whose hair he was cutting. Zane and I went up the window and waved at him and Dan started jumping up and down and then came RUNNING up front and we all had a hug-a-thon. Dan said he was almost done, so we told him we'd hold him a seat at the Mill.
We got to the Mill and found seats and talked to Stuart for awhile, and then talked to Rob and Kismet. And then Zane got to meet my mom and my little sister and Renata and Miriam and Mary. Soooo... then Zane and I decided to run over to Studio to get wristbands so we could go back and dance after the concert. Then we went and hung out at the Mill and watched Stu. It was a good show and I'm so glad that Zane FINALLY got to see Stu.
After the show we went back to Studio and hung out and danced until about one. Then at one we went back to my apartment and drank some more of our PBR and had a pizza and went to sleep. Good good times.
Saturday morning we took Zane home, and then I came back to Iowa City and spent the evening with Rob and Chad and Kismet and everyone. Then I went over to Brian's and we watched the third season of Scrubs. Then I came home. And... at four AM, Matty called! Wooooot! So I talked to Matty for a long time, and went to bed. He's going on a mission today and I'm scared. Boooo Army.
Still, I get to see Matt super super soon. June! Vegas! Good times! Yay!
We talked for a LONG time, and it was super nice. I'm so excited to see him. It's going to be a ridiculously busy two weeks. We're having a welcome back bar crawl, and possibly a bachelor party bar crawl for Matty. We'll be in Iowa City for as much time as possible, but we also have to go to Madison for at least 5 days to spend time with Matt's family. Plus, four days in Vegas. I think we may also be having an engagement party at my parents house, but maybe not, because I don't want to put up with it.
I'm super excited for the beginning of this week, because Matty sent me a package and I can't wait to get it. I sent him a package on the same day, so I'm hoping he'll get that soon, because I sent lots of treats and some pirates. Because I figured he may not have enough pirates in Iraq.
I think that a bunch of us are going to Mickey's on Wednesday in our ongoing mission to hang out places other than Joe's Place and Ben's apartment. Yay branching out! Woo!
And now, I am off to my parents' house to hang out. Yay hanging out!
P.S. There's something in my wall. It sounds like it's about Leela sized. And I keep hearing it moving around and thinking that Leela has somehow gotten inside the walls, but she's sitting next to me so it's not her. Stupid scary animal in my wall. Grr.
