(no subject)
I'm a moron, I left out the most exciting part of today.... Renata came down to Iowa City from Grinnell! I met up with her and Miriam at the java house, then we walked to the best Thai restaurant in Iowa City... Only to discover that they close between lunch and dinner, so we had an hour before they opened. Alas. So, we went to Pancheros instead. Which, although wonderfully tasty, is not thai food. after we ate we went to prairie table, this cute little kitchen store place, where renata and miriam browsed, and I talked to the owner about chihuahuas. I wanted to go up to ben's (he lives up above the cute kitchen place), but he was at work. boo. So, after that miriam had to head off to work, so renata and I walked to miriam's car so she could get her target purchases out of the trunk. then we walked to john's grocery so i could get wine, then we walked back to my apartment and watched scrubs until renata had to go back downtown to catch her bus. renata did NOT bring a coat today, despite the fact that it was FREEZING out, so all day she was like "so cold! so stupid!" poor frozen renata.
Jason and I have made a pact to each pick a rent cast member, then do our very best to sleep with them. I will keep you all updated.
my neighbors are being really loud and it's making leela all panicky. she actually barked. she never barks. shut up neighbors! I know that these particular neighbors have a three year old daughter, yet they're SO loud, and it's the adults, not the daughter being loud. and they're up all late, and i see them bringing her home from wherever at like two am. weeeird. and they annoy my dog. bad neighbors. my dog rules our building, so you will shut up!
