http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/Colette_Brunel [ Personality ] :
Colette is, in a word, complicated. She is a clumsy Stepford Smiler who never hesitates to help someone, even if they had just tried to kill her like when she met Sheena. She knows that she is incredibly different from the other people in Aselia, apart from Zelos, and she wants more than anything to be treated the same as everyone else is even as she accepts that she is so different. She is incredibly mature for her age and is very loyal to her friends. She wants to make friends with everyone she meets and as such is outgoing. Being loyal doesn't mean she doesn't keep secrets from her friends; she tells more lies to Lloyd than she does to anyone else in the game just to try to make it so he doesn't worry about her.
She is quick to take responsibility, even if she isn't the one who caused something. At the beginning of the game, she passes on nearly every important decision onto Lloyd because she is afraid of making the wrong choice. At the end of the game, however, she stands up to Lloyd and makes her own decisions, which is why she goes with the party to the Tower of Salvation the time that Zelos pretended to betray them. Much of the reason why Colette was so determined to die to save Sylvarant was to save her friends and everyone who lives in her world. To her, dying was worth it if she could save everyone else. She doesn't want to see anyone ever make the same mistake she did and sacrifice themselves to save their friends. She knows now that doing so would hurt their friends far more than anything else ever could. Dying would have been preferable to watching her friends heart's break as she gave up her heart and memories.
Colette is kind-hearted and will never turn someone away if they ask for her help, unless they are, for example, a Desian. Even then she would hesitate, wanting to help them. Even if they don't ask her, she can't turn a blind eye to anyone who needs help. Colette doesn't think about herself. She will do anything to help someone else if they ask, even if she doesn't understand what they're asking. She is incredibly innocent as well, though less so at the end of the Journey. Many things Zelos says go right over her head, as no one ever taught her about such things. The Vessel of Martel need not know about such vulgar things after all.
She has a hard time blaming or even putting responsibility on someone that isn't Lloyd. For the majority of the game, she lets Lloyd decide everything that has to do with the party, except when it came to the Seals. At the end of the game, she doesn't go to Lloyd to decide things for her. She grew into a capable young woman who really shouldn't have been as mature as she was for a sixteen-year-old, even having grown up knowing she was going to die and become a vessel for a dead Goddess.
When Colette lost her humanity, she saw everything that was going on around her, but was unable to do anything at all to interact with the outside world. She was trapped in her own mind. She knew when she kicked the dog, heard what everyone said afterward, tried to tell Zelos sorry when she nearly threw him into a tree, saw everyone's distress when she wouldn't go back to normal, and it was because of all of the feelings that had been building up inside of her while watching, unable to do a thing, that made her able to break free and get her body back into her control.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Her selflessness is a strength and a weakness. Its a strength because she isn't afraid to do something to help someone even if she'll get hurt, and its a weakness because she doesn't want anyone to worry about her and so she'll hide her pain and sickness from them as she does several times in the game.
She is also a formidable foe in battle, being able to be one of the best fighters in the game. Her being an Angel is also a strength, because it gives her extra strength, sight, and hearing.
As for weaknesses, she refuses to tell anyone if she is in pain or sick, or if she can't feel anything. So if she has some sort of deadly illness or is turning into a rock? She won't tell you because she doesn't want you to worry about her. She also apologizes for things that aren't her fault, which is rather annoying to her friends, mainly Lloyd. Apart from getting on everyone's nerves, this isn't a major issue though. Her naivety is also a weakness because she has no idea what being a maiden is, or about basically any of the things Zelos mentions. She's incredibly sheltered and had no idea how people would really react to her being the Chosen, some acted as she expected; with worship. Others, like Sheena, tried to kill her, and others tried to impersonate her. She didn't mind any of them.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
She still has most of her angel abilities; Holy Song, Judgement, Sacrifice, Angel Feathers, her enhanced hearing, enhanced sight, enhanced strength, and her wings. All of those are toned down a bit; she can't fly for as long, her sight isn't as good as it was, same with hearing and strength, and her spells do less damage and have less boost to her allies. She has to eat and sleep again. After she uses any of her Angel spells or flies she is drained and has to go touch the coral to restore her energy.
[ Sample ] :
[A soaked blonde girl stirs over toward the edge of the view of the starfish communicator. Within moments, she's stood up and wrapped a towel around her white-clad shoulders. She gasps, shivers, and her eyes widen.]
Excuse me? [She brushes wet hair away from her worried eyes. We finally saved the worlds and then I get taken away from them? This isn't because of Cruxis and the Desians, is it?] Where am I? I don't think I fell asleep here...Is there even anyone near me right now?
[She looks around to find someone, anyone, and her eyes catch on the communicator. Her blue eyes widen and she takes a step backward, eyes focusing on the communicator. Huh? A starfish?]
A monster? But it isn't moving...
[Her blue fairy flies around her head as she turns to look around again. She blinks and then turns to look at it, a hand reaching out to touch it and pulling away right before she might. What is this? What's going on?]
Is this another monster...? What is this place?...I hope someone can hear me...
[She blinks and pats her sides, looking down. Where did they...?]
Huh? Where are my chakrams? Can anyone hear me? Hello?
[She frowns in frustration and sighs, looking sort of lost. Where are you Lloyd? Is anyone from Aselia even here? I want to go back home...I hope no one else is here, though if they aren't here I might get lonely...Maybe I'll make some friends here! But it'd be better if everyone was in their own world...right?]
[ Questions? Comments? Concerns? ] : Would her chakrams be able to be brought with her or would she have to buy them from the Nostalgia Nook?
