When did Washington get permission to become Alaska?

i never thought that something like this would happen to me. i got stranded in the snow. no kidding. my assistant manager called work tuesday night (mid-blizzard) and told us that we couldn't drive home. meanwhile, we had all been freaking out because of the non-stop snow and lightning. anyways, after jill called, angela told genivieve and i that we could all walk over to her house after we closed. so gen (6 months pregnant) and i ended up staying with angela, drinking chai, eating alfredo and watching 40 year-old virgin all night. it was fun. then i went back to work and worked an eight hour day the next day because no one else could come in but gen and i (angela's in-laws' plane was nearly struck by lightning that night and they had to stay in seattle because they couldn't get anywhere else). i actually just got my car back last night because it was frozen to the parking lot for three days. scott had to come get me from work wednesday night to walk me home. gen had to stay two more nights at angela's becuase her husband couldn't make it up the hill in thier car to get her.
so that's my story. i'm really just amazed that it happened to me. as a matter of fact, i think i'm still in shock. talk about wrong place, wrong time.
