The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Did you know that today is a gloriously sunny fall day here in Vancouver?  Well it is and, boy howdy, am I glad to be able to stand up.

On Sunday morning while BFB was sleeping in I motored over to freakykitten , a_narchist  and Tomas' house to deliver organic apple juice and ginger and just generally help out with what most of us thought was an ugly but fairly basic case of food poisoning.  Tomas and I hung out upstairs and played with animals and cars ("LOOK Tomas!  toy horsey!  Let's play with the toy horsey instead of sticking your little hand into the cat's private bed 'cause the growling is a bad sign!  LOOK!  toy horsey!") and occasionally went up and down the stairs a few times while mom-ness and dad-ness got a little rest and a shower.

All was good until late morning Monday.  Now, I cop to being a weeeee bit of hypochondriac so when I started feeling rumbly in my tumbly and... well, bad, I just thought I was being over sensitive.  I'm good at over sensitive.  However, by 2:00 it was obvious I wasn't giving into drama-rama and I needed to go home.  I packed up and stood waiting and waiting and waiting for the bus (when one feels that gross standing at the bus stop for twenty five minutes if for freakin' ever) and then, just as the bus comes through the intersection, I finally lose that morning's coffee.  I got home around 4:00 and BFB was great, looking after me and making sure I didn't drink too much water.

I felt way, way better yesterday morning but I called in "working from home" and stayed in bed and as close to supine as I could manage.

Last night around 10:00 BFB said his tummy felt a little rumbly...  He spent all of last night in and out of the bathroom.  When I left this morning he was sacked out in bed, moaning a little.  I'll stay until I get everyone squared away for a 1:00 meeting this afternoon and see about heading home again to see about making sure he gets enough water...

So yeah, I'll be over here, as far away from you as I can get.
