Honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with FanFiction at times. I love writing and I love the fact that I met such great friends because of it, but sometimes I feel like it's a chore to update my fics and I don't always get reviews for my efforts. It can drag on me sometimes, but in the end I still enjoy doing it and that's what really counts.

The stories I browse through, however...ehhhh. Almost every time I surf the archives I keep bumping into yaoi/yuri pairings and THAT is a drag. Then there are the ones where people don't bother checking spelling/grammar and the plot is horrendous; these days it's getting harder and harder to find good fics. BUT! I won't give up and I'll keep on looking!

[And ahaha, I kinda favor Shenny and Shamy...I don't know which one to choose ^^;]

Mmhmm! That's another reason why I like/love fanfiction so much. Because you're able to make friends. =D

But yes, it's sad to see how much yaoi/yuri there is out there. And how there are some people who purposefully misspell words and (worse, in my opinion) the canon character's name. Like, really? Sometimes it hard not to wonder if they're really trolls in disguise...

[LOL, I'm a fan of Shenny; however, I've only been able to watch the first two(?) seasons but after that I haven't been able to (my dad always changes the channel as soon as it comes on; he refuses to watch it -__-) so, unfortunately, I do not know the pairing Shamy. )=]

Ahahaha, Shamy is Sheldon and a girl named Amy who - honestly - is a woman version of Sheldon. It's both cute and disturbing at the same time D:

HONESTLY. I hate people who can't spell character names. Granted, you get names like Jounouchi or Ryuzaki or Xion and people will make harmless mistakes. But then you have people who spell names horrifyingly wrong - I read a fanfic once where Yugi's name was spelled 'U-gee' (took me FOREVER to realize who they were talking about). UGH.

Nah, see, trolls never make sense. They just throw random plot twists left and right and add a dash of sarcasm/outright flames. You can always tell when they're genuinely trying - the plot makes the tiniest bit of sense, but the characters are OOC or stereotypical (ie. Seto crying - like that'll ever happen). And I swear, I bump into one more story not marked yaoi/yuri in the summary and start reading it I'll honestly scream >C

This Amy person is a woman version of Sheldon? *blinks*

Huh. That does seem a bit disturbing. But cute. ^ ^

That's understandable right there but to butcher their name repeatedly, especially when the name isn't that hard to spell? And someone spelled Yugi's name as 'U-gee'? ... Really? Why were they writing a "Yu-Gi-Oh!" story if they couldn't spell Yugi correctly? It makes no sense to me! D:

I was never able to tell if they were trying to or not. The plot was always rubbish to me and made little to no sense whatsoever. So every time I read a summary that gave me the feeling that it would be a troll or close to it I'd read the reviews first. But that's another thing I hate when it comes to fanfiction: making a character the opposite of what they're like. Because, come on, Seto Kaiba crying for no reason?

And would it kill them to put a warning in their summary? Seriously. Not all readers want to read yaoi, thank you.
