Summary: They finally made it to NY. The twins want their lives back, Gabriel needs to feel special again..
They step out of the car, which was parked some blocks away from Dr. Suresh's apartment. He'd figured Mohinder to live there, although he didn't know for sure. As Maya steps out of the car, a cold wind touches her body. She shakes a little. Alejandro offers her his blouse.
'' It's cold isn't it? '' Gabriel says in thin air.
" Yes, it is. Im not used to being that cold, if you know where we come from. '' she said.
" Yea, that's right, its pretty hot there " he says. " its still morning, just wait a few hours more, it'll get warmer ''.
,, A donde vamos ahora? ,, Where do we go now? '' Alejandro asks. ,, No se. Creo que Gabriel sabe. ,, I dont know, i guess Gabriel knows '' she said.
'' Do you know where dr. Suresh is, Gabriel? '' she asked curious.
'' Yes. of course '' Gabriel said.
Knowing that Chandra Suresh was murdered, of his doing. They had to look for Mohinder now, but they didn't know that. He did know, and if Mohinder would see him, he'd panick and the twins would know everything. He didn't want them to know, not now, not before he gets his hands on their power somehow.
'' I think your ability is very interesting '' Sylar said with a light smirk on his face.
" Why? I've killed so many people with this. I want it to stop '' she almost started to cry again. Alejandro comforts her, looking mad at Sylar.
,, Porque estas disgustando a mi hermana? Dejala quieta! ,, Why are you upsetting my sister, leave her alone '' Alejandro says to him. Gabriel doesn't understand the language, but he does know what Alejandro means.
'' Im sorry Maya, i didn't mean to upset you '' Gabriel says softly as he places a hand on her shoulder. '' Your unique, i think you handled your power well, you could have killed me ''
'' I'll only be fine when im around my brother, he's my protector, my cure .'' she admits.
'' So you mean you need your brother to take the black tears away, he's also special? '' he wonders.
Alejandro looks confused not knowing what they're talking about, he only heard the familiar word 'cure' so he interrupted Maya before she could speak another word.
,, No le digas nada de lo que nosotros isimos. Casi no lo conosemos, Maya ,, Dont tell him anything about us or what we've done, we hardly know him Maya '' Alejandro says nervous.
Maya looks up at Alejandro then back to Gabriel. '' My brother is special, because he's always been there for me when i needed him. '' she says.
'' Yes, of course. , '' Of course he's special '' Gabriel says suprised , knowing that their she's half lying, cuz he has seen with his own, black teared eyes, that Alejandro somehow stopped the black tears from killing anyone. He knew exactly how it worked now, how important Alejandro is to Maya and her ability.
He knew which power he wanted...
'' Do you guys want to eat something before we go? '' He offers with a devious smirk hidden in his face.
,, Tienes hambre, Alejandro? ,, Alejandro, are you hungry? '' she asks before replying back to Gabriel.
,, Si, un poco ,, Yes, a little '' Alejandro nods.
'' I guess we could eat something, we all didn't eat, we had no chance '' she said with a smile.
'' I'll get you some food.. Alejandro, care to join? '' Gabriel suddenly asked. Alejandro looking strange, cause he doesn't understand what Sylar is saying.
,, Que es lo que el quiere? ,, What does he want? '' Alejandro asks Maya.
,, El quieres que lo acompañes. Pero no me puedes dejar me aqui. ,, He want you to come along, but you can't leave me here '' she said, giving Gabriel a confused look.
,, No. No es una buena idea. Puedo vigilarlo mas serca ,, No, no its a good idea, i can keep an eye on him '' he explains. Maya agrees, as she turns her head back to Gabriel.
'' He will go with you, but come back soon please? '' Maya pleads a little.
'' Yes, of course, we wont be gone that long'' says Sylar comforting as he guides Alejandro towards a little dark ally.
Maya decides to sit down, taking the Activating Evolution book again, putting it infront of her face, to stay unnoticed.
While Sylar and Alejandro walked through the ally, Alejandro's eyes noticed something that looked like a blood stain, which was a little on the top of Sylars kaki pants.
,, Que es eso? '' ,, What is that? '' Alejandro points curious to Sylars pants, As Sylar looks down to see what Alejandro's looking at.
,, ¿Es esa sangre? '' ,, Is that blood? '' Alejandro continues, while looking more nervous by the minute.
Sylar looks back up at Alejandro, '' I was in pain when you guys found me '' Sylar says, trying to keep calm.
,, No te creo! '' ,, I dont believe you! '' Alejandro spatted out as he tried to step away to go to Maya, Sylar grabbed Alejandro's throat and smashed him to a brick wall.
" Listen, i don't want to do this, but i have no choice, '' Gabriel said, still holding the frightened Alejandro by his throat.
,, Mayaa?! '' Alejandro screamed, while he still could.
'' I need your power, its special, you people dont seem to realize how special you have became '' Sylar spat out, tightening his grip on Alejandro's throat.
Maya still sitting down on a bench with the book infront of her face, lowered the book down, cause she had this strange feeling that someone was calling for her.
,, Alejandro?! '' she said worried as she decides to stand up to walk towards the ally.
,, No me lastimes! Por favor, Maya me nesesita! ,, No, dont hurt me please, Maya needs me '' Alejandro squized out, trying to speak.
" Maya? Dont worry about her, she's a shiny new toy and she's all mine " Sylar said, with a smirk.
He hits Alejandro with a rock and he sees how Alejandro's lifeless body falls down on the ground.
Maya shockingly witnessed Alejandro's body falling on the ground as she runs like hell to get to him. She falls to the floor andholds him closely.
,, ALEJANDRO?! ALEJANDRO?! , she cries out ,, Oh dios mio, no ahora! '' she says defeated.
" WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HIM?! '' She spats out with fury as she stands up to face Sylar and starts beating him on his chest.
'' Why did you take him away from me? '' she says, still angry, still beating on his chest, as she suddenly starts crying, feeling the black tears showing up again..
Sylar looks paralyzed, he's becoming weak, as he tightly holds Maya's hands to keep her calm and focussed on her eyes.
Why isn't it working ?, Sylar thinks to himself. As he again tries to keep Maya calm, holding her both hands, talking to her softly.
Maya looks up at him, and sees her black tears being absorbed in Sylar's eyes. Sylar becomes weak, almost fainting to the ground but he doesn't let go of Maya. Slowly they both regain back to normal, as she clings onto him.
She still cries a little, but no black tears, only a invisible teardrop that's falling over her cheek. He holds her close, hugging her even, for a moment. She snaps back to what happened and lets go of him, looking mad as she tried to get away.
" No. " Gabriel demands, stopping her by grabbing a wrist.
'' Let me go, i want nothing to do with you! '' Maya spatted.
'' Its not wise for you to go now is it? You need to find Suresh, you need me.. your dangerous '' He says with a devilish smirk.
Maya looks to the ground where Alejandro is, realizing that Gabriel is right, she has to stick by him, she needs him now, just like she needed Alejandro all the time. She looks back at Gabriel with her eyes still moisty.
'' Good. '' Sylar says as he lets go of her wrist and guides her out of the ally. She takes one last look at Alejandro before they go to wherever..
