Personality: To say the least, Mihashi is a pretty meek guy. The most prevalent things you see with him entail different parts of that. He rarely looks people in the eye when he speaks, he tends to stutter and fumble over his words and on top of that, he's prone to crying. It's easy to stir a panic in Mihashi, really. His experiences on the Mihoshi baseball team in middle school left him completely lacking in self-confidence. He doesn't believe in his own abilities most of the time, and he's also quick to think that people feel the same way about his abilities. When it comes to his pitching, it takes more than a little encouragement from Abe and the rest of the Nishiura team to even assure him that he's capable of doing anythig right. It's never intentional, but he tends to expect the worst in people - that they're all looking down on him for everything. Even offering a simple hello to a team mate leaves him in a panic, wondering whether or not he'd even be acknowledged in return.

While that lack of self-esteem makes up a huge portion of what you see, but that's not all there is to him. He does have a strong sense of determination within him - even if most of it pertains to his passion for baseball. He's spent a lot of his time practicing his pitches, to the point that he has incredible control over the ball. It's something that's an incredible asset to the Nishiura team, and something that they all recognize... even if Mihashi himself often doesn't realize that. Even if he's often not good at showing it, he does care deeply for his friends, taking many things to heart and analyzing them - such as when he learned about Haruna, a pitcher for an opposing team and the very same that Abe used to catch for. Haruna didn't listen to Abe's calls, and when Mihashi learned this, he was able to understand why Abe was so harsh with him to begin with. He could see how that one series of events affected Abe, and even resolved to be a better pitcher and follow his lead for Abe's sake... as well as the sake of the rest of the team.

Even his negative feelings are often laced with good intentions. He has a bit of a selfish streak - evidenced by how he wouldn't give up the mound in Mihoshi. It wasn't because he had any sort of vindictive, negative demeanor though. It was simply because he had such a strong love for the game and wanted to pitch so badly that the thought of giving up the mound to another pitcher upset him. Even once he joined the Nishiura team, it took some convincing and a bit of maneuvering from Abe to convince Mihoshi that he couldn't be the team's only pitcher. He had a hard time understanding it, his desire to be the ace and his worry of being cast aside taking hold over the logic -- he couldn't pitch every day, especially not on days where they played double-headers.

Really, Mihashi is a pretty simple guy; he loves baseball, he lacks self-confidence... and he's really good at getting worked up.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ A great pitcher with amazing control.
+ Kindhearted
+ Determined

- Very meek
- Has extremely low self-esteem (he does think he's the worst pitcher ever)

First Person Sample:
[The audio turns on, but it's very quiet. Eerily so, actually. Only for a minute, and then there's something that sounds like... a whimper? And then another. And another.]

U-u-um...! I, am I... am I doing this right? I-it's on, isn't it? I read the instructions, but i-it still.... We-well, if it is...

[There's a pause. This guy sounds really unsure of himself, but then suddenly, a small outburst!] I really need someone to tell me how to get home! I-I mean, I guess this is nice even if it's weird, but... but... but-! I have practice in an hour! And if I don't go, coach will be mad and, and, and I'll be letting down the whole team--!

[His outburst is really very panicked. He lets out something akin to - but not quite exactly - a cry. And then in begins. There's another cry, but this one doesn't come from Mihashi. It comes from the Whismur standing at his feet, who is also in a complete state of panic. It's cries are growing in volume.] Pl-Please...! Don't cry! I-I'm sorry, it's... I didn't mean...!

Wh-whatamIsupposedtodonow...

[Amidst the panicked cries and whimpers from the both of them, Mihashi drops the Gear, effectively bringing the microphone close to the mouth of the crying Pokémon. He sputters, reaches over, and turns it off without finishing.]

Third Person Sample:
This was bad. Wrong, even. At the sound of an alarm clock, Mihashi practically fell out of his bed. He shook his head from side to side, a desperate attempt to wake him from the grogginess; if his alarm was going off, it meant he didn't have much time to get ready before leaving for morning practice. The room didn't look familiar at all though. He must have still been dreaming - or so he thought.

Blink. Blink blink blink.

A few of these repeated, and he realized he wasn't waking up. Which made a small amount of sense, since he didn't feel like he was asleep. But if he wasn't at home, in his own bed... well, then just where the heck was he?

"M-Mom...?" He called out, reluctant. There was a response - a friendly sounding one, but still - that wasn't his mother. It definitely, without any question, wasn't her. He let out a small whimper; he could already feel his eyes filling with tears as his heart began to race at a furious pace. Like a shrinking violet, he curled up. What was he supposed to do. Had he been kidnapped in his sleep? Who would do that? How would they do that? No - no, it couldn't be. Maybe it was a practical joke - he was pretty hard to wake in his deepest sleep. And nobody on the team would do that, right? Nobody hated him that much - not enough to do something so disorienting.

Unless they really did. Maybe they were looking for a way to get rid of him! Or maybe...

Mihashi found himself unable to finish the thought, further working himself into a panic on this strange bedroom floor he was in. If Abe was there, he'd probably have already grabbed him by the collar and told him to stop whimpering and worrying. Maybe... maybe even Abe got sick of him.

He shook his head, still letting out a whine. But he couldn't give up, right? He didn't want to give up on the Nishiura team, and...

Well, he'd have to figure out where he was and how he got there before he jumped to conclusions, right?
